Our People Make the Difference! Are you looking to take on a dynamic and challenging role? OE Federal is seeking to hire a Consumer Lending Officer I! Your Purpose You will be responsible for developing, expanding and maintaining the credit union's relationship with members by efficiently underwriting consumer loan requests and providing resulting credit decisions and loan pricing information to members as quickly as possible. Ideal Candidate Will Possess High School Diploma/GED and minimum 1 year of work experience in a similar role required. Associates degree in a business-related field preferred. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, negotiation and presentation skills; ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external business partners required. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. What You'll Do To succeed in this position, you must be able to satisfactorily perform common, uncommon and complex occurrences of each of the following under general supervision from your manager: Support members and call center, branch and other consumer lending employees by evaluating consumer loan applications and credit reports efficiently and providing loan decisions and pricing information quickly. Educate and counsel members on credit decisions; information contained in their credit report; other lending products that would help them reach their financial goals more effectively, and the responsible use of credit. Cross-sell members on consumer loan protection products. Occasionally assist other consumer lending employees with the completion of loan applications; the collection, verification and processing of information contained in loan applications; and the disbursement of loan proceeds to members. Collaborate seamlessly with colleagues across departments and branches to deliver optimal and efficient service to our members. Uphold a standard of professionalism actively fostering positive relationships internally and externally. Salary Range: $ OE Federal Credit Union offers competitive compensation. The offered salary considers experience, education, training, internal peer equity, job location and other business considerations when extending an offer. The salary outlined is based on working in Livermore, California. The salary range will adjust to the applicant's work location.
