Job Description

Oversees day-to-day field operations for water treatment plants, wastewater facilities, pump stations, and pipeline installations. Manages and coordinates field crews, subcontractors, and equipment to ensure efficient project execution. Enforces strict safety protocols related to confined spaces, chemical exposure, and heavy civil operations. Interprets engineering drawings, P&IDs, civil plans, and mechanical/process equipment specifications. Ensures compliance with EPA/DEP regulations, municipal standards, and environmental permitting requirements. Oversees installation of mechanical systems, pumps, piping, filtration equipment, and electrical/instrumentation components. Maintains project schedules, coordinates shutdowns/tie-ins, and minimizes disruptions to active utility systems. Conducts quality control inspections for concrete work, underground utilities, mechanical assemblies, and system testing. Troubleshoots field issues such as groundwater challenges, utility conflicts, and equipment integration problems. Communicates daily with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and owners to ensure alignment and workflow continuity. Maintains detailed documentation, daily logs, and progress reports. Leads with a focus on safety, quality, operational reliability, and long-term performance of critical infrastructure. Extensive field experience in water treatment plants, wastewater facilities, pump stations, and underground utility work. Proven ability to lead and supervise crews across civil, mechanical, and process-related scopes. Strong knowledge of treatment processes, piping systems, pumps, filtration equipment, and instrumentation/controls. Demonstrated success managing complex sequencing, especially during live plant upgrades and utility tie-ins. Excellent understanding of EPA/DEP regulations, municipal requirements, and environmental compliance procedures. Highly skilled in reading and interpreting construction drawings, P&IDs, submittals, and technical specifications. Track record of maintaining strong safety performance, especially in confined spaces, chemical environments, and heavy civil operations. Adept at problem solving, quickly addressing field challenges such as unforeseen utilities, groundwater issues, and equipment conflicts. Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate with engineers, inspectors, owners, and project managers. Proficient in maintaining accurate daily reports, schedules, progress tracking, and quality control documentation. Known for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
