Loan Processing Specialist
We are looking for a reliable Loan Processing Specialist to approve consumer loans. This role serves as the link between potential customers and our company. The goal is to help qualified applicants secure loans and protect the credibility of the organization. Loan Processor reviews, evaluates, and verifies loan applications. The role also includes originating loans. The Loan Processor guides customers through the full application process, confirms all documentation is accurate, and maintains compliance with company policies and lending regulations. As a Loan Processing Specialist, you will: Application Management:
Take calls, process applications, and help guide customers through each step. Information Review:
Thoroughly review all application information with the customer for accuracy and completeness. System Verification:
Utilize multiple software programs to verify and cross-reference customer data. Finalization, Disclosure, and Funding:
Validate all application details and ensure customers are clearly informed of their contractual rules and obligations. Customer Support:
Proactively help customers with the application, including updating information. Maintaining compliance with federal and tribal regulation:
Including but not limited to: Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), Electronic Fund Transfer Act (EFTA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) / Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA), Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP), and Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-SIGN Act) Perform additional duties as assigned. Position qualifications include: MS Products Accurate typing at 40 WPM Consistent attendance Strong customer service Attention to detail Clear communication Time management Sound decision-making Compliance awareness Verification and credit review Strong notation skills Knowledge of industry policy Professional attitude Organizational skills Basic math skills Analytical ability High reliability and trustworthiness Skills and abilities: Education:
Minimum of High school diploma/ GED Computer Skills:
Proficient use of MS: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Proficient user of the Internet and cloud-based storage. Other Requirements: Ability to sit for long periods Frequent talking and listening Frequent keyboard use and screen viewing Lift up to 5 pounds Work in a moderate office noise level Work Environment: Work takes place in an office setting in all weather conditions and during day or night shifts. The role may involve stressful situations. Noise levels are generally low.
