Overview We are partnering with a leading financial services firm seeking an AML CIU Sanctions Analyst II to support and enhance its sanctions compliance program. This role focuses on conducting investigations, assessing sanctions risk, and supporting ongoing regulatory compliance initiatives within a broker‑dealer environment.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct investigations related to potential sanctions matches, including escalations, monitoring, and reporting.

Interpret and summarize new or updated sanctions requirements (including OFAC and global sanctions) and perform gap analyses to assess business impact.

Support sanctions program execution and client due diligence in alignment with AML and regulatory standards.

Collaborate with compliance, risk, and business teams to strengthen governance practices and controls.

Serve as a subject matter resource for sanctions‑related inquiries.

Document findings, maintain tracking tools, and elevate risks as appropriate.

Support regulatory reporting obligations and assist in maintaining policies and procedures.

Participate in ongoing process and system improvements related to sanctions risk management.

Qualifications

Experience conducting financial crimes investigations with a focus on sanctions, OFAC, or global regulatory requirements within a broker‑dealer or financial institution.

Strong knowledge of AML/BSA frameworks, KYC, CDD, and EDD processes.

Ability to analyze complex financial activity and identify potential risks.

Strong communication skills with the ability to translate regulatory requirements into actionable insights.

Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross‑functionally.

Requirements

3+ years of financial industry experience, including 2+ years within AML, sanctions, or risk/compliance.
