— The Sales Manager – Pharma & Medical Device Leak Detection (including Container Closure Integrity Testing or CCIT) is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding market penetration within the pharmaceutical and medical device segments. This role owns sales execution for CCIT leak detection solutions, serving as the primary commercial leader for the segment while acting as a senior technical resource. The Sales Manager is accountable for lead conversion, opportunity management, quotation, and order intake, while enabling and supporting the broader sales organization through training and technical leadership. Responsibilities

Own and execute the sales strategy for CCIT, pharmaceutical, and medical device leak detection solutions. Drive pipeline development and order intake by converting marketing-generated leads and self-sourced opportunities. Present product and system solutions to customers, articulating technical, regulatory, and commercial value. Generate customer-specific quotations based on application requirements, validation needs, and commercial objectives. Manage opportunities from lead qualification through order closure, including forecasting and pipeline reviews. Work closely with Pfeiffer Indianapolis to define system scope, costing requirements, and pricing strategy. Ensure pricing accuracy, margin compliance, and alignment with internal approval processes. Support complex deal structuring involving systems, validation services, and testing engagements. Conduct product demonstrations, application testing, and customer evaluations as required. Lead and support validation studies, including free trials and paid testing programs. Coordinate with internal laboratories to define scope, quote, and execute paid testing studies. Serve as the primary technical sales escalation point for CCIT and air leak detection applications. Partner with Marketing to support lead generation campaigns targeted at pharma and medical device customers. Develop and execute email campaigns to drive opportunity creation and customer engagement. Contribute technical content, including white papers and application notes, to support sales and marketing efforts. Collaborate with global counterparts in France and Germany on CCIT projects, technical requirements, and opportunity alignment. Participate in monthly CCIT sales and pipeline meetings to review performance, opportunities, and strategic initiatives. Train and mentor Sales Engineers, including onboarding and application training focused on air leak detection. Support field sales teams by providing technical guidance and joint customer engagement on strategic opportunities. Attend and represent the company at industry trade shows to support lead generation and customer engagement. Position requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical discipline (advanced degree preferred). Proven experience in technical sales or sales management within pharmaceutical, medical device, or regulated industrial markets. Strong understanding of CCIT, leak detection technologies, and validation/regulatory environments. Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles and coordinate cross-functional resources. Skills and other requirements

The ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing is essential. Reports, email correspondence, schedules, and performance reviews are typical requirements and must be effectively communicated. This role also serves as a liaison between the customer and the Company and must articulate critical needs and plans to maintain customer satisfaction. Superior Math Skills Required. Reasoning Ability: Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a disciplined approach to meeting major customers’ needs. The ability to understand customer requirements and plan the support strategy is essential. Must solve practical and complex problems with limited standardization. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record at hire and periodically thereafter. Tools and/or Equipment: Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office; strong mechanical aptitude for demos and customer demonstrations. Travel, Work Environment, and EEO
