Yuhan USA Corporation is seeking a driven and innovative Business Development Associate Director to join our team.
This role requires proven business development experience and will play a critical role in advancing Yuhan’s business strategy by forging key collaborations including but not limited to out-licensing activities and evaluating external assets for in-licensing. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong initiative, and possess a balanced blend of scientific expertise and business insight.
Responsibilities
Ability to lead out-licensing initiatives by preparing data packages, presentations, and strategic positioning materials for Yuhan’s internal R&D pipeline assets
Explore out-licensing opportunities through BD network, partnering meetings, and industry events
Provide strategic insights based on deep scientific understanding and thorough analysis of market dynamics and industry trends
Build relationships with potential business partners, outside counsel, and other key external parties
Act as a liaison between external partners and Yuhan’s internal R&D team; facilitate meetings regarding product development, R&D collaboration, and strategic initiatives.
Travel requirement: approximately 10%
Basic Qualifications
MS in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biology, or a related discipline
Strong understanding of research, drug development, and clinical strategies, with awareness of the competitive landscape and industry trends in oncology, metabolic disease, and immunology & inflammation
Excellent interpersonal, networking, and communication skills
Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Required experience
· Meaningful prior experience (4~8 yrs) in business development within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, including a demonstrated track record in asset evaluation, transaction support, or external partnership management
· Ability to independently lead opportunity assessments and partner interactions
Preferred Qualifications
MBA, Ph.D., or other advanced degrees
Prior experience in pharmaceutical industry business development, especially in the field of oncology, metabolic disease, and/or immunology and inflammation
NewCo building experience
Fluent in Korean
