The role provides analytical and tactical support to the First Vice President of Corporate Finance and Chief Financial Officer.Core responsibilities include updating and improving the corporate model, preparing ad-hoc financial analyses, preparing Board materials and monthly presentations, and other ad-hoc analyses.
The role will also be involved in, and support, Capital Markets and Investor Relations.
This is an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience with REITs, real estate, corporate finance and publicly traded companies.We seek a self-motivated individual with strong financial background, demonstrated expertise with financial modeling and presentation preparation, and strong verbal and written communication skills. The candidate should have:* Advanced financial modeling skills and strong proficiency in Excel* Experience in corporate finance, FP&A, or investment analysis* Deep understanding of REIT and real estate financial metrics, public company reporting requirements, and capital markets* Experience preparing Board and investor-facing materials* Knowledge of valuation, cost of capital, risk / return trade-offs and GAAP accounting concepts* Ability to produce in-depth peer company research* Interest and aptitude to utilize tech-enabled analytical tools* Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with high attention to detail* Expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPointThe ideal candidate will have 5+ years of investment banking, Corporate FP&A or similar experience, plus an undergraduate degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business or another related field.
