Position Title: Bench Facilities Director SSC Services for Education is a nationwide best‑in‑class facility service provider and a member of Compass Group, North America. Job Summary The Bench Facilities Director will provide management support to new and existing SSC accounts in K‑12 or higher education settings. Travel, including overnight stays, is required, and candidates must be willing to relocate outside the Baltimore, MD area.

Key Responsibilities

Facilitate seamless communication between shifts to ensure task completion.

Train workers in janitorial methods, procedures, and equipment operation.

Issue supplies and equipment to staff, ensuring quality and timeliness.

Conduct daily inspections and follow up on assignments to guarantee task completion.

Cross‑train and develop personnel for multiple positions, promoting workforce versatility.

Conduct weekly staff meetings and inspections to foster accountability and excellence.

Meet with staff regularly to review task completion and plan future projects.

Secure buildings after work, demonstrating attention to security.

Guide project completion to ensure timely and budget‑conscious outcomes.

Report and address budgetary issues effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

A college degree is preferred.

1–2 years of supervisory experience in housekeeping or a service‑related field with high customer/client interaction.

Strong work ethic, drive, and initiative for quality and customer service.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Outstanding problem‑solving abilities in individual and group contexts.

Ability to engage and motivate staff, fostering a positive work environment.

Understanding of budgeting processes and profit and loss concepts.

Excellent administrative and organizational skills with a focus on prioritization.

Exceptional time‑management skills to ensure operational efficiency.

Ability to operate and manage heavy cleaning equipment effectively.
