This role requires a deep understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and industry standards.**Regular Job Duties*** Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and constraints.* Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information for accurate estimating.* Develop and maintain a database of historical cost data and unit prices.* Prepare and present cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals to clients and management.* Identify potential risks and opportunities in project estimates and provide recommendations for mitigation.* Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.* Monitor and track project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budget.* Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and advancements in construction technology* Other unlisted duties**Qualifications*** Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.* Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in estimating for heavy civil construction projects.* Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., HCSS, Bluebeam, PlanSwift).* Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.* Strong communication and presentation skills.* Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in estimating.* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.The Statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and levels of work performed by employees, but are not a complete list of responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel so classified.
