Description
This position as a Senior Startup Coordinator will be responsible for leading field electro-mechanical commissioning projects in support of startup commissioning efforts on various Power Plants and/or Industrial Plants. This position will lead the execution of tests for a wide variety of electrical and mechanical equipment and systems to ensure testing is performed in conformance with project startup standards and procedures.
Responsible for consulting on advanced planning and preparation of startup activities and major milestones.
Develop and implement clear startup procedures as required by clients.
Responsible for leading discipline section commissioning activities of startup packages as required in accordance with plans, procedures and agreements.
Develop documentation for proper maintenance of startup packages for quality control needs and client usage.
Ensure project team compliance with quality assurance and quality control as well as processes and procedures.
Consult with vendors and subcontractors regarding equipment testing and commissioning.
Lead technical staff activities to complete startup system testing.
Lead and implement field startup commissioning audits.
Present startup commissioning information in meetings.
Lead projects to meet clients' and Burns & McDonnell's expectations for technical excellence, budget and schedule.
Observe and promote company and site safety policies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Power & Controls or a relevant field of study and 8 years of Startup Commissioning experience in Power or Industrial Plants required.
Or an Associate's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Power & Controls or a relevant field of study, and 10 years of Startup Commissioning experience in Power or Industrial Plants required.
Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Computer Skills: MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat.
OSHA 10-hour certification, ability to obtain.
