Purpose
Build in-depth market and consumer understanding for assigned product categories. Create, deliver and support client presentations.
Core Responsibilities
Market and Consumer Understanding
Build in-depth market and consumer understanding for assigned product categories
Foster sharing amongst marketing team members across categories
Marketing programs and development
Identify client brand fragrance opportunities and ideate new concept directions and visuals, collaborating with development team for olfactive recommendations and S&T for technologies
Prepare standard category reviews and trend presentations
Create, deliver and support client presentations, tailoring Givaudan value proposition to specific needs of the client
Work with Sales and Evaluation to establish appropriate olfactory direction to win briefs
Assist in designing new marketing programmes to differentiate Givaudan and address client needs
Collaboration with Communications Team to support/generate content for external audiences and events
Academic Background
University Degree/Business/Marketing (or equivalent)
Professional Experience
5+ years of experience in industry, in marketing or related function. Experience in agency or client-side is a benefit.
Technical Skills
Marketing & Communication Skills
Understanding of B2B and B2C marketing principles and channels
Competent understanding of all Givaudan’s marketing and promotional programs; can apply/communicate them effectivelyDemonstrate thorough knowledge of Givaudan’s Branding guidelines
Ability to write copy and social media content, in collaboration with Communication team and in line with corporate brand standards as required
Develop and deliver compelling presentations
Relationship Building
Builds and maintains effective relationships with clients
Builds internal Givaudan network
Consumer, Industry and Market Knowledge
Demonstrates knowledge of fragrance products, trends, key customers and competitors on a global/regional category level
Recognition of fragrance families and key olfactory notes and ability to communicate in fragrance language
Collaboration with S&T to position Givaudan technologies and their relevance for consumers and customers
Ability to navigate Social Media marketing content to gain insights
Analytical Skills
Ability to analyse market and consumer data and strengthen consumer awareness and identify gaps and opportunities
Project Management
Effectively manages and prioritises multiple projects under time/budget constraints
Understands the creation process and is able to apply deep consumer and category insights to the creative process to help deliver the next blockbuster fragrances
