Summary
The Bilingual Campus Pastor serves primarily at the Santa Rosa Campus and provides pastoral leadership to the Spanish-speaking congregation and surrounding community. This role includes preaching, teaching, pastoral care, counseling, evangelism, and discipleship. The Campus Pastor ensures that the vision, values, culture, and ministry systems of Hessel Church are faithfully expressed and contextualized at the Santa Rosa Campus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Pastoral Care
Provide pastoral leadership and spiritual care to campus attendees and the surrounding community
Offer pastoral counseling consistent with biblical principles
Ensure that guests and new attendees are welcomed and supported in connecting with God, community, and service opportunities
Visit church family and community members as appropriate (e.g., sick, grieving, shut-ins, new guests)
Officiate weddings, funerals, baptisms, and communion services
Preaching and Teaching
Preach and teach Scripture faithfully, clearly, and relevantly at the Santa Rosa Campus in Spanish and/or English as appropriate
Collaborate with the broader preaching calendar; initially, both campuses will follow the same preaching schedule
Preach at the Sebastopol Campus as assigned
Vision & Alignment
Partner with elders and staff to communicate and advance the vision of the Santa Rosa Campus

Leadership & Administration
Participate in weekly staff meetings and monthly elder meetings
Steward the campus budget responsibly
Recruit, equip, and support volunteers in partnership with ministry leaders
Manage relationships with the Courtside Village Homeowners Association
Coordinate with the facilities team regarding campus care and security
Supervise and support campus administrative staff
Foster unity, ownership, and spiritual growth within the Spanish-speaking congregation and volunteer teams
Evangelism & Outreach
Clearly proclaim the Gospel
Equip and inspire others to share their faith
Develop outreach opportunities that engage the local community
Other Duties
Perform other ministry-related duties as reasonably assigned
Qualifications Spiritual & Ministry Qualifications Because this is a ministerial role, the following spiritual qualifications are essential job requirements:
A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ
Agreement with Hessel Church’s Doctrinal Statement and Position Papers
Meets the biblical qualifications of an elder
Demonstrated gifting in pastoral leadership, teaching, and shepherding
Ongoing commitment to spiritual growth, discipleship, and personal integrity
Proven ministry experience in teaching, counseling, and equipping others
Commitment to a healthy, biblical family life
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise spiritual wisdom
Skills & Attributes
Strong relational and leadership skills
Effective communicator in both large and small group settings
Team-oriented and collaborative
Culturally aware and able to lead within a bilingual, multicultural context
Organized, self-motivated, and adaptable
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
Equivalent ministry experience may be considered
Physical & Scheduling Expectations
Regular evening and weekend work required
Ability to travel between campuses and off-site locations
Ability to stand, walk, and engage in pastoral visits and events
