Freelance Video Editor – Wedding Storytelling

This role is ideal for a creative videographer with a passion for storytelling and cinematic visuals. You will be responsible for capturing a wedding on September 26th at a picturesque farm in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The couple, blending Norwegian and Michigan backgrounds, seeks a professional who can authentically document their journey and deliver a memorable, narrative-driven wedding film. The finished video must be delivered by October 5th. This is an on-site opportunity, but applicants willing to travel are welcome.

Deliverables

Capture all key moments of the wedding day, including ceremony, reception, and candid interactions

Create a cinematic, storytelling-style wedding video that reflects the couple’s unique journey

Edit and deliver the final video by October 5th, ensuring high-quality visuals and sound

Collaborate with the couple to understand their vision and preferences

Provide all raw footage and final edited files in agreed formats

Requirements

Proven experience in wedding videography with a strong storytelling portfolio

Expertise in cinematic video editing and post-production

Proficiency with professional video equipment and editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro)

Ability to work on-site in Grand Rapids, Michigan on September 26th; willingness to travel if not local

Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with clients

Excellent time management to meet tight delivery deadlines

Creative eye for detail and capturing authentic moments
