About the role

As an Instructional Designer, you will play a critical role in supporting our Planisware implementation teams by developing high‑quality, engaging learning experiences. You will translate complex project and portfolio management processes and system workflows into clear, user‑friendly training materials that empower users to confidently adopt Planisware and its functionalities.

In this position, you will create step‑by‑step guides, SCORM‑compliant eLearning modules, PowerPoint‑based training assets, and contribute to the development of hands‑on training exercises. Your deliverables will be used across both internal teams and external client engagements.

You will work closely with functional experts and project teams to ensure all content is accurate, accessible, and aligned with our overall change‑management strategy.

This role is based out of either our Denver, Colorado, or Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Office. Planisware currently has a hybrid policy of working in the office four days per week, Monday-Thursday, with remote work allowed on Friday. This is subject to change as the company sees fit.

Responsibilities

Create instructional content such as eLearning modules, cheat sheets, instructional videos, PowerPoint decks, and in-app guidance.

Design interactive and SCORM‑compliant eLearning using tools like Rise, Articulate Storyline, Captivate, or similar authoring software.

Partner with the Planisware project team and the client to gather content, validate accuracy, and ensure alignment with business and training goals.

Publish and package courses in Planisware Help Center or Learning Management Systems (LMS). Conduct testing, evaluation, and iteration of training materials based on feedback and learner performance data.

Develop templates that streamline, standardize, and scale the production of training materials.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience designing both instructor-led and eLearning training materials, preferably in support of an Enterprise SaaS system.

Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Sciences, Communications, or related fields.

Preferred Skills

Experience working with SCORM, xAPI, or LMS platforms.

Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline/Rise, Captivate, Camtasia, Synthesia).

Familiarity with change‑management methodologies and user‑adoption strategies.

Experience creating multimedia (screen recordings, voiceover scripts, simple animations).

Ability to simplify complex concepts and create intuitive learning experiences.

Ability to learn and utilize new platforms and tools.

Strong communication, writing, and visual‑design skills.

Strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently in autonomy.

Proven organizational, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Knowledge of the Project and Portfolio Management space is a plus.
