Position Summary The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating high‑quality print and digital design materials that support the Rescue Mission Alliance’s programs, fundraising, events, and internal communications. Working closely with the Director of Marketing & Communications, this role serves multiple departments across the organization, ensuring all visual materials align with brand standards and organizational priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Design engaging print and digital collateral that meets project specifications and brand standards
Manage and organize design files using a Digital Asset Management system
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to meet project timelines and deliverables
Prepare and release print‑ready files to external vendors and assist with print quoting and cost tracking
Produce in‑house print mockups and one‑off pieces, including trimming and mounting materials
Participate in regular project check‑ins with Marketing & Communications leadership
Support occasional photography needs
Attend Rescue Mission events during evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Contribute to a collaborative, safety‑focused team environment
Required Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related visual communications field
Minimum of 2 years of professional graphic design experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (strong emphasis on InDesign)
Solid understanding of layout design for both print and digital formats
Strong project and file management skills
Ability to prepare vendor‑ready print files
Photo editing experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines
Experience with Trello, Canto, and/or WordPress is a plus
Passion for the mission and values of the organization
Additional Requirements
Link to a digital design portfolio required with application
Valid New York State Driver’s License
Ability to work onsite during major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter)
Availability for occasional evening and weekend work to support special events
Physical Requirements This role requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, use office equipment, and work in varied environmental conditions. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
