
Interior Designer

The Entry Level Interior Designer provides design and administrative support to the Interior Design Department. In this role, s/he serves as a member of project teams working on projects to provide design support in the production of construction documents and presentations. This supportive role requires the ability to anticipate needs, think critically, and offer solutions to problems with a high level of professionalism and willingness to learn and follow company standards.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of an interior designer, select finish options for projects for design team review Under the direction of an interior designer, produce construction documents including interior finish plans, casework, detailing, specifications, and material selections required for construction Under the direction of an interior designer, create renderings and presentation boards for client meetings Provide project team coordination for interior finish plans, casework, detailing, specifications, and material selections required for construction Under the direction of a Sr. Interior Designer, manage the revit model for projects by completing documentation from design development phase through construction administration. Perform quality control review of own work Perform duties in the Resource Library including return samples, library clean-up, and manufacturer's rep presentations and updates Participate in office activities, initiatives, and learning programs REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Exceptional organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail. High degree of professionalism and integrity in working with diverse groups of people, including internal leadership, business consultants, and staff. Ability to complete a high volume of tasks and projects with guidance. Self-monitor one’s schedule to produce a quality deliverable while meeting project deadlines Ability to react with appropriate levels of urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround with professionalism. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Continuously demonstrate excellent follow-up and organizational skills. Proficient with a strong working knowledge of Revit, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel Strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Enscape. Must be a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills. A positive attitude and enthusiasm to learn Outstanding graphic presentation skills Punctuality Ability to communicate design ideas clearly EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year interior design program TRAVEL
The position may require occasional local travel to client and construction sites.
