Senior Account Executive, Consumer

for an immediate need to lead strategic media development and execution across a dynamic portfolio of consumer brands. This role is ideal for a media-savvy storyteller with a deep understanding of marketing trends, who thrives on turning compelling brand narratives into high-impact national, regional, and local coverage.

You’ll serve as a key client contact, owning campaign execution, media outreach, and providing guidance to junior and support staff—bringing both strategic insight and hands‑on media excellence to every program.

What You’ll Do:

Lead daily account management activities, including developing and executing media strategies and pitch materials, pitching and securing media coverage, overseeing media monitoring and ensuring timely reporting for client accounts.

Serve as the primary executor and main point of contact on a portfolio of client programs, managing client relationships, and consistently delivering high-level media placements and campaign successes.

Create, cultivate, and nurture effective relationships with key media contacts, influencers, and other industry stakeholders locally and nationally across consumer print, digital and broadcast media outlets.

Provide strategic insights based on industry research, competitive analysis, and emerging trends to inform client strategies and recommendations.

Delegate to and guide junior and support staff, providing direction and feedback on assigned tasks and projects.

Manage event strategy, logistics, and on‑site support, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, for key client events.

Occasional night/weekend availability and travel may be required based on client service and business needs.

What You’ll Bring:

4+ years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or a related field (agency experience strongly regarded).

Demonstrated success securing meaningful consumer media coverage across print, digital, and broadcast outlets, with strong national and local media relationships.

Exceptional storytelling, writing, and editing skills with fluency in AP style, and the ability to shape narratives that position brands as leaders—leveraging a sophisticated understanding of both traditional and emerging media landscapes.

Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to translate insights, trends, and data into clear, strategic recommendations.

Proven ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously—prioritizing effectively, delegating thoughtfully, and consistently delivering on deadline.

Hands‑on experience with PR tools and platforms such as Cision, PR Newswire, Critical Mention, or similar systems.
