Job Description The Sales Account Executive is a client‑facing outside sales role operating within an assigned region of the New England states. The role involves identifying and managing client accounts and business opportunities for the Eurofins Built Environment Testing Division. Built Environment laboratories provide Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) testing for mold, asbestos, Legionella, and more.

This position requires frequent travel (approximately 50% of the time) to meet clients throughout the New England territory. Candidates should be comfortable with cold‑calling, proactive in generating new business, and skillful at cultivating existing relationships. Knowledge of environmental laboratory testing, especially indoor air quality testing, USP 797, or Legionella testing, is preferred but not mandatory.

As part of the sales team, you will focus on:

Maximizing market share, profitability, competitive advantage and capacity utilization in the environmental analytical services market.

Establishing and maintaining productive relationships with Eurofins clients.

Providing vision and acquiring new accounts to sustain business growth by representing Eurofins and clearly communicating services to new customers and markets.

Identifying opportunities and profitable work by following up on leads, negotiating, and closing.

Serving as a valuable interface between the customer and Eurofins by communicating their needs to internal teams and acting as a customer advocate.

Account Executive responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Meeting individual revenue and regional sales goals.

Maintaining productive working relationships between clients and laboratories.

Ensuring customer awareness of Eurofins Environmental Testing capabilities to improve selling opportunities.

Developing sales plans and forecasts for the assigned region.

Reviewing credit status of new and existing customers before submitting bids or proposals.

Monitoring accounts receivable status and resolving collection issues as needed.

Recommending pricing and bid/no‑bid decisions, establishing Master Service Agreements, and providing budgetary information.

Developing client profiles and determining potential funding for work.

Tracking, qualifying, and closing leads to increase revenue.

Reporting sales activities within the assigned area.

Updating customer databases to identify business opportunities.

Maintaining relationships between customers and the Eurofins Environmental Testing organization.

Implementing account plans with specific clients, revenue goals and associated objectives to achieve regional quotas.

Identifying key target markets and major accounts to strengthen market position and maintain profitability.

Negotiating and completing Master Service Agreements with customers to define needs and streamline processes.

Collecting and documenting pricing information to evaluate the company's ability to meet customer requirements and achieve win/loss ratios, discount percentages and profitability.

Communicating customer needs and wants to Customer Service Managers and Project Managers to support successful project completion.

Completing summaries of sales development activities as directed by the GM.

Documenting all business opportunities (bids, quotes, proposals, pricing inquiries) in Eurofins Environmental Testing’s database.

Following up on outstanding bids, quotes, proposals and price inquiries to close the sales cycle.

Negotiating pricing and contractual issues within responsibility, with GM approval.

Presenting Environmental Testing as a national network of laboratories, not limited to local facilities, to improve operational efficiencies.

Controlling selling expenses per Eurofins Environmental Testing’s policy and with GM approval.

Assuming the role of “sponsor” for National Accounts as needed.

Providing market condition feedback to develop new products and services.

Maintaining relationships with Eurofins Environmental Testing network facilities to stay aware of operational issues.

Reporting business opportunity outcomes regarding win/loss ratios and future pricing strategies.

Providing forecasting information to Customer Service Managers to aid operational planning.

Assisting with the development of sales materials.

Gathering and communicating competitor intelligence in the assigned area.

Identifying and communicating opportunities for new products and services within the region.

Basic Minimum Qualifications

Degree in Sciences or related field preferred but not required.

Minimum 2‑3 years of progressively successful sales experience in a service industry.

Willingness and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory (approx. 50% travel; overnight travel may be required).

Knowledge of the environmental industry.

Valid driver’s license.

Sales acumen and experience.

Lab experience and exposure to the environmental industry preferred.

Experience writing sales and account plans.

Proficient computer skills.

Familiarity with lab functions and terminology.

Analytical and planning skills.

Self‑directed and capable of working in an unstructured environment.

Additional Information

Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Professional working proficiency in English is required (reading, writing, speaking).

Salary Range: minimum of $70,000 per year base + commission with benefits, paid time off and company matching 401(k) plan. Salary may be higher for candidates with specific sales experience in environmental testing, particularly IAQ testing.
