Account Executive – Building Automation
A growing company in the building automation and HVAC controls industry is looking for an Account Executive to help expand its client base across Florida and the Southeast.
The company specializes in smart building technology that improves HVAC performance, energy efficiency, and building operations for commercial properties.
This is a client-facing sales role focused on developing relationships, identifying opportunities, and helping businesses implement building automation and energy management solutions.
What You’ll Do
Develop and manage relationships with commercial and industrial clients.
Identify opportunities to install or upgrade Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS) connected to HVAC systems.
Meet with clients to understand their building operations and recommend automation solutions.
Prepare proposals, pricing, and responses to RFPs with support from engineering and project teams.
Manage the full sales cycle— from prospecting and meetings to negotiation and closing deals.
Work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure the right solutions are delivered.
Stay informed on smart building technology, energy efficiency trends, and automation systems.
Maintain sales activity and pipeline information in the company CRM system.
Represent the company at industry events, networking opportunities, and trade shows.
What We’re Looking For
3–7 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in:
Building Automation Systems (BAS)
HVAC controls
Energy management
Smart building technologies
Understanding of HVAC systems, DDC controls, or building management systems.
Experience selling technical or solution-based products/services.
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to build long-term relationships with clients and decision makers.
Comfortable working with CRM software and Microsoft Office.
