Numerator is looking for a highly motivated and articulate Business Development Representative to join our Go To Market (GTM) function. The Business Development Representative works with our Marketing department and Sales Directors by managing & following up on inbound lead activity, as well as executing outreach campaigns to create awareness and preference of Numerator to the marketplace, in support of our lead generation initiatives and our entire portfolio of market intelligence solutions. This role is a vital function to our organization and is designed to be a springboard into a greater Numerator career.

What You’ll Do:

Research potential clients, identify key buying centers and players, and create target lists

Schedule telephonic, web, and in-person meetings between qualified prospects and our Sales Directors

Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Research teams on effective marketing campaigns

Learn our platforms and effectively communicate our value proposition (via phone, email, etc.) with a technical, data-focused audience

Balance the reactive work of responding to interested prospects with a creative and proactive approach to identify new opportunities to increase sales pipeline

Update prospect interaction in Salesforce to ensure efficient lead management

Consistently achieve scheduled meetings to ensure revenue objectives

Provide closed-loop feedback to Marketing and Sales teams to ensure continuous process optimization

Nurture prospects that are not yet ready to engage in a sales cycle

What You’ll Bring to Numerator

Bachelor’s degree

Self-directed starter with positive & energetic phone skills, and excellent listening & writing skills

Ability to work in a high-energy, performance-driven sales team environment

Highest level of integrity demonstrated at all time

Competency with G Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Hangouts, Drive, etc.)

Must be located in the Greater Chicagoland area

Bonus points if you have these skills:

Preferably 1 or more years of sales experience, ideally in a B2B and/or services-oriented business (not required if you are hungry and looking to break into sales)

Adept at pre-call planning, opportunity qualification, and objection handling (preferred)

Experience with Salesforce

Ability to structure calls to control/drive a conversation
