
Revenue Strategy and Analytics Manager

ROLE OUTLINE The Revenue Strategy and Analytics Manager is a member of BlueScope Coated Products Pricing team. This person develops and executes advanced analytics and strategic insights that drive revenue quality, margin expansion, and optimal capacity utilization. This role translates financial goals, sales requirements and manufacturing constraints into data-driven pricing strategy.
Key Focus Areas
Improve reliability of margin and cost data in partnership with Finance and Operations
Design and deploy Power BI dashboards and models and apply advanced analytics to translate complex data into clear commercial action
Present insights and influence decisions at the VP and President level
Create and deploy scenario tools for pricing, product and customer portfolio decisions
Own end-to-end margin performance analysis across customers, segments, and plants, converting insight into decisive action
Build and operationalize pricing elasticity models to drive disciplined, data-backed price optimization
Design and deploy AI agents to surface pricing insights, detect risk patterns, and unlock margin opportunities
Proactively identify margin dilution risks, displacement issues, and underperforming volume
Challenge and partner with Sales to combine volume growth with sustainable margin expansion
Build structured decision frameworks to evaluate price increases, surcharges, segmentation, and portfolio trade-offs
Analyze customer-level pricing structures and identify inconsistencies or erosion patterns
Lead pricing performance analytics, including realization, waterfall analysis, discount behaviour, and price-volume-mix impacts
Lead and scale price optimization initiatives across segments and facilities
Build leadership-ready KPI frameworks and dashboards that drive accountability and decision speed
Co‑own price correction and segmentation refinement initiatives with Sales, from insight to execution
Build scalable analytical foundations that can evolve as the business grow
Foundational Experience In order to be successful in this role, the person needs to be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, strong financial acumen, know basic statistics, have strong verbal and written communication skills, possess the ability to prioritize and manage time, customer focused, team oriented, attention to detail, and maintain confidentiality.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Analytics or Engineering
10 years of FP&A, Pricing or Analytics experience
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify underlying trends and patterns.
Excellent MS Excel background including use of pivot tables, lookups, and charts/graphing.
Desired Qualifications
Master’s degree in finance, Data Analytics or MBA
Strong mathematical skills to help collect, measure, organize and analyze data.
Knowledge of programming languages like SQL, Oracle, and Python.
Data analytics experience
Power BI experience
Experience with AI agents
Experience in handling reporting packages like Business Objects, programming (JavaScript, XML, or ETL frameworks), databases.
KPI reporting and dashboards.
Problem‑solving skills.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Adept at queries, writing reports, and making presentations.
Comfort with ambiguity and imperfect data
Ability to challenge assumptions diplomatically
