Business License Tax Analyst , U.S. Indirect Tax Compliance

Key job responsibilities

Tax registration and licensing management, support, and tracking in multiple systems, partnering with business site teams

Licensing and tax registration calendar management

Assist in payment processing, including check requests

Identify and deliver automation and AI enhancements opportunities

Assist with mail routing and tracking

Create documentation of processes and procedures for licensing and tax registrations

Prepare licensing and tax registration expense reports

Other U.S. indirect tax tasks as needed, including filings

A day in the life This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including leadership, to enhance management of a high-volume of information and critical documents related to multiple teams and ensure timely distribution and access. The role will also contribute to technical innovations, process improvements, minimizing recurring manual tasks, and assisting in daily mail distribution and classification.

About the team The U.S. ITC team includes tax compliance and business/tax licensing specialists. The ITC team is faced-paced, innovative and collaborative. This role has opportunity for growth, especially given the ITC team's ownership of 2 distinct workstreams - indirect tax (sales/use/gross receipts) compliance and business license registration/renewal.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level

1+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

Knowledge of at least one data-focused technology tool, such as Python, SQL, Alteryx, Amazon QuickSight, or similar

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
