Overview Sentinel Safety & Security Group, LLC is a dynamic strategic ownership group rapidly growing operations in the design, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of commercial fire sprinkler systems. We are looking to expand our team to include a Business Development Executive in the Charlotte, NC area.

We are seeking a highly driven and relationship-focused Business Development Executive to lead growth initiatives in fire protection within the commercial and industrial construction market. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating a strong customer base, and building a robust sales pipeline to support our sales executive team. Partnering closely with leadership, this position will help execute strategic sales plans. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of securing repeat business, expanding market share, and representing the company with professionalism at industry events, customer meetings, and trade associations.

Business Development Executive Responsibilities Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Proactively identify, pursue, and capture new business and market opportunities.

Build, expand, and strategically manage a strong customer base while maintaining a high‑performing sales pipeline.

Partner with leadership to develop, execute, and drive strategic sales initiatives that achieve aggressive growth objectives.

Establish and strengthen professional relationships with new and existing customers, industry partners, and economic development representatives.

Provide sales leadership that drives profitability, accelerates growth, and aligns with company strategy and goals.

Deliver compelling sales presentations to key customers in collaboration with business unit leaders.

Actively network within the construction industry to influence best practices and strengthen market presence.

Continuously evaluate and improve the sales process, collaborating with senior leadership to enhance sales reporting and performance metrics.

Serve as a visible ambassador for the company at trade shows, industry events, and trade association meetings.

Business Development Executive Qualifications Professional Experience

5–10 years of proven experience building, managing, and sustaining strong relationships within the commercial and industrial construction industry.

Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline that consistently meets or exceeds established revenue targets.

Strong aptitude for expanding existing market share while remaining highly responsive to client needs.

Documented success prospecting, pursuing, and securing repeat business with national customers.

Skills and Competencies

Ability to identify, analyze, and capitalize on market and business opportunities in high‑growth construction regions.

Strong research and analytical skills used to uncover trends, target opportunities, and support strategic sales decisions.

Highly personable and confident, with a natural ability to quickly establish credibility and build lasting relationships.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, paired with strong organizational, multitasking, time management, and problem‑solving capabilities.

Demonstrated professionalism and discretion in maintaining client and business confidentiality.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business, or Construction Management is preferred.
