Assistant Superintendent

Job Title: Assistant Superintendent Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL Duration: 6-8 Weeks contract Pay Range: $30 - $35/hour, OT after 40 Schedule: 40 hours per week Start: ASAP Overview: A construction project in South Florida is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support field operations on a large multi-building development project. This role will assist the site leadership team with day-to-day coordination and oversight of construction activities. This is a short-term assignment intended to provide additional field support while portions of the permanent team transition between projects. The position is well suited for an early-career construction professional who has field experience and is comfortable working in an active construction environment. Responsibilities: Support the Superintendent with daily site oversight and coordination Monitor progress of interior construction activities and trade work Assist with crew check-in procedures and site protocols Perform routine site walkthroughs and progress documentation Take progress photos and maintain daily updates in project management software Help ensure work is progressing safely and according to project plans Communicate field observations to the project leadership team Qualifications: 2+ years of construction experience in a field or project support role Basic understanding of construction sequencing and trade coordination Ability to work in an active construction environment Strong attention to detail and communication skills Experience with construction management software such as Procore is a plus Additional Information: This role will provide hands-on exposure to daily field operations and coordination on a large construction project.
