
Junior Sales Representative

The Junior Sales Representative is responsible for supporting revenue growth through proactive business development, client relationship management, and coordination of equipment rental and sales activities within the environmental services sector. This role serves as a key point of contact for consultants, contractors, and industrial clients, ensuring responsive service and technical alignment with project needs.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & SALES EXECUTION
Conduct outbound prospecting via phone and email to environmental consultants, engineering firms, contractors, and industrial clients to generate rental and sales opportunities.
Qualify inbound and outbound leads to identify project scope, timelines, and equipment requirements.
Prepare and deliver accurate rental quotations, sales proposals, equipment availability confirmations, and pricing estimates in a timely manner.
Follow up on open quotations to advance opportunities through the sales cycle and improve close rates.
Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities based on client requirements.
Support senior sales representatives in managing accounts and expanding market share.
Assist in developing account plans to increase repeat business and long-term customer retention.
CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries regarding environmental monitoring instruments, sampling equipment, air monitoring devices, XRF analyzers, and related technologies.
Conduct regular client check-ins to maintain relationships, identify upcoming project opportunities, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Address client concerns promptly and coordinate internally to resolve field issues, ensuring proper documentation and follow-through.
Maintain detailed and accurate CRM records documenting customer communications, sales activities, and opportunity tracking.
Gather and relay customer feedback to management to support continuous improvement initiatives.
TECHNICAL PRODUCT SUPPORT
Develop and maintain working knowledge of air, water, soil, and industrial hygiene sampling equipment to confidently recommend appropriate solutions (training provided).
Assist clients in selecting suitable equipment for soil, groundwater, air monitoring, and industrial hygiene applications.
Stay informed on environmental regulations, compliance standards, and emerging technologies that influence customer equipment needs.
Support product demonstrations and assist with customer training sessions when required.
OPERATIONS & CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COORDINATION
Collaborate closely with operations, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure equipment is properly calibrated, prepared, and delivered in accordance with project schedules.
Confirm equipment availability, coordinate shipping, and monitor order fulfillment to ensure on-time delivery.
Assist in resolving inventory or scheduling conflicts to minimize service disruptions.
Support post-rental follow-up to ensure equipment returns, billing accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
MARKETING & INDUSTRY ENGAGEMENT
Assist with trade shows, events, and customer demonstrations to promote company products and services.
Support marketing initiatives by identifying target accounts and participating in outreach campaigns.
Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to provide market intelligence to the sales team.
