Summary The Community & Employee Engagement Coordinator plays a central role in supporting BOK Financial’s efforts to strengthen communities, elevate employee experience, and steward philanthropic impact. This position works closely with the Community & Employee Engagement team and partners across all BOKF markets to manage events, coordinate contributions, facilitate communication, and ensure seamless execution of key programs.
Job Description The
Community Relations Coordinator
is primarily responsible for internal communications, coordinating multiple projects (including client entertainment initiatives and employee engagement events). Manages specialized market sports contracts including coordination of all expenses and event tickets; manages the inventory and distribution of various promotional materials; coordinates social media postings. Coordinates community relations initiatives such as the United Way internal campaign and community impact events; maintains the department invoice system as well as approving vendor billing; corresponds with publications, nonprofits and associations concerning branding opportunities. Performs special projects and discretionary tasks requiring knowledge of operating procedures of the department, division and bank.

How You'll Spend Your Time
You will manage contribution and grant requests, including intake, evaluation support, documentation, reporting, and relationship communication with nonprofit organizations to ensure timely and accurate processing.
You will lead event management of nonprofit sponsorship‑related events and ticket distribution for employee engagement and client entertainment purposes.
You will serve as a communication hub for the department, drafting and distributing Beacon content and corresponding with employees and nonprofit partners.
You will provide essential operational support, including budgeting assistance, data tracking, reporting, and cross‑market coordination, contributing to strong program oversight, compliance, and continuous improvement.
You will provide support for community and volunteer events, collaborating with nonprofit partners and internal teams to ensure smooth logistics and meaningful employee engagement opportunities.
You will support employee recognition efforts and United Way campaign activities, ensuring thoughtful communications and well‑organized events that reinforce BOKF’s culture of giving and appreciation.
Education & Experience Requirements This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations or business related field with 2+ years equivalent work experience in public relations or business related field or 5+ years of equivalent work experience.
Thorough knowledge of public relations, community series, event planning and communications
Thorough knowledge of grammar, composition, editing and proofing
Working knowledge of advertising and publicity
General knowledge of accounting principals for budget management
Excellent organizational skills; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a competent professional manner
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent inter-personal and customer service skills
Outstanding team play
Ability to be creative and use ingenuity; detail oriented
Operates independently but knows when to seek counsel, ask questions
Superior PC software skills; ability to master new PR Trac software
Knowledge of Canva, Oracle, SalesForce preferred
Highly proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint computer software
