About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Ecommerce to take on a pivotal role in driving the digital strategy and performance for its two jewelry brands. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning the full P&L of the digital channel, leading a team of 20-25 associates, and spearheading initiatives to enhance the online shopping experience. This includes building AI-native discovery infrastructure, driving conversion, and bridging the digital-to-physical experience. The role demands a leader with a strong background in ecommerce, particularly in multi-channel retail, and a deep understanding of AI-driven search and discovery paradigms. The VP will also be tasked with influencing merchandising strategies, executing ecommerce promotions, and managing the tech stack to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Candidates for the VP of Ecommerce position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred) and at least 15 years' of progressive ecommerce leadership experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing a channel-level P&L, with a focus on high-consideration, high-AOV categories. Operational experience with complex ecommerce merchandising platforms, on-site search engines, and a strong background in SEO and emerging AEO/GEO landscapes are essential. The role requires a leader with a test-and-learn orientation, the ability to lead a multi-level team, and experience in managing external agency relationships. Personal characteristics such as high integrity, transparency, and a genuine interest in the customer and the product are also key.
