Overview Steampunk is seeking a Marketing & Communications Summer Intern who will assist with special projects related to Marketing, Communications, Sales/Delivery Support, and Events associated with Steampunk. Special projects will be most closely aligned with Marketing and Communications, but could also be associated with assisting our client portfolios.

Contributions Assist With Steampunk's Evolving Brand By

Developing an experience-based brand presence that inspires and incites action.

Executing the brand across all channels of communications to include business materials, presentations, reports, sponsorships, websites, social media, office environments, events, merchandise, advertising, literature, and electronic communications.

Assist with the management of brand elements (color, logo, iconography, voice, tagline, etc.) and assets (images, graphic files, artwork for packaging, etc.)

Driving consistency across all touch points – “living the brand” internally by driving brand engagement and governing compliance (brand guidelines).

Work associated to help continue development and implementation of Marketing Communications plan to align with department goals. This consists of:

Conceiving, writing/creating and delivering compelling content specific to target audiences that reinforces value propositions and brand positioning (e.g., graphic design and storyfication)

Creating and distributing content via the most effective channels (e.g., social media, email, print, events, blogs) – the right media mix

Ensuring an integrated approach across all touch points to create a consistent employee and client experience

Help deploy website updates and other digital tools ensuring proper maintenance and development

Provide reporting as requested

Exposure to MarCom SG&A budget and forecasted spend estimates

Conduct competitive research and benchmarking ofMarCom initiatives. Remain informed of industry trends and communicate relevant updates and recommendations to department.

Assist with company, portfolio, and industry event management as necessary

Improve internal communications. Assist with internal communication needs such as newsletter creation, communication for special projects and corporate initiatives (e.g., values), and press releases

Support recruiting efforts through communications, events, and initiatives

Relationships With Others’ Jobs

Communicates and collaborates with sector delivery organizations to drive effectiveness of MarCom initiatives

Partners with Portfolio Leads on special projects to drive value-added service and customer engagement initiatives

Works with HR and Recruitment Marketing Manager on internal and external recruiting process and communication needs. Collaborates with all locations on company-wide initiatives (e.g., values, brand promise).

Qualifications Basic Qualifications and skills:

Current student seeking a rewarding Marketing and Communications summer internship opportunity with a government technology services organization

Rising college junior or senior, current senior

Highly focused planning and project management skills

Strong winning mindset, resourceful in overcoming obstacles and driven individual

Current with digital tools and technology (e.g., Google analytics, graphic design, Social Media) with high learning agility

Excellent team-building and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
