The Department of Marketing in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas invites applications for an Instructor position to start August 10, 2026. This is a non-tenure track position that provides the opportunity to teach traditional, face‑to‑face classes. We seek candidates with diverse skills and abilities who want to play a meaningful role in the life of the Walton College of Business. The desired candidate is expected to teach up to a 4/4 load per academic year. The candidate will also be expected to remain qualified as a Practice Academic or Instructional Practitioner under AACSB guidelines – this could include recent publications in peer‑reviewed journals and/or engagement in professional practice through outreach, consulting, or other activities consistent with AACSB standards. The candidate selected will fulfill University, College, and Departmental service requirements consistent with the rank and primarily teach undergraduate courses such as Intro to Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Marketing Research, Marketing Management, and other similar courses as needed by the department. Regular on‑campus availability, in‑person teaching, and active contribution to the life of the department, including exhibiting respect and cooperation in shared academic and administrative tasks are essential duties. The Department of Marketing graduates the largest number of students in the Sam M. Walton College of Business. We offer a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with strategic initiatives in sales and retail. We also offer a Master of Science in Marketing focusing on brand management and a Ph.D. in Marketing. Our students ultimately benefit because our faculty collaborate with Walmart, J. B. Hunt Transport Inc., Procter & Gamble, General Mills, FedEx, and other leading companies with headquarters or offices in Northwest Arkansas. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree from an accredited university conferred by the start of employment Previous teaching experience in Consumer Behavior, Integrated Marketing Communications, or Digital Marketing Preferred Qualifications: Evidence of high‑quality undergraduate teaching in a business school Extensive corporate world experience in product development, consumer insights, analytics, or sales Experience to be classified as Practice Academic or Instructional Practitioner under AACSB guidelines, which can include recent publications in peer‑reviewed journals and/or engagement in professional practice through outreach, consulting, or other activities consistent with AACSB standards Salary Information
