The Fairfield Inn & Suites, located in Baraboo, Wisconsin, is a newly constructed property that first opened its doors in August of 2023. We are currently seeking a full-time hourly Sales Coordinator to join our team, with a primary focus on corporate group sales. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about sales and customer service and has the ability to work between the hours of 8am and 5pm, with potential scheduling needed in the evenings or weekends depending on group blocks or networking events.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Sales Coordinator works with the front desk to provide guests with an unforgettable experience at the property in addition to attracting new guests and clients to increase overall revenue.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Prospect a list of company and referral leads generated through research, networking, social media, special events

Serve as the point of contact for clients and communicate with them by phone and email to respond to questions and requests in a prompt, courteous, and pleasant manner

Generate sales presentations and a variety of additional materials for prospective customers highlighting event space, dining and catering services, and facility amenities

Identify opportunities to maximize revenue opportunities by up-selling and offering enhancements to create outstanding guest satisfaction

Prepare proposals, contract bookings and assist the GM in the execution of sales process

Assist in providing personalized “on the floor” attention to in-house groups

Coordinate marketing materials such as social media pages and e‑mail blasts, respond to guests through various customer service outlets including comment cards and social media

Assist other departments as required and additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in business management or related field preferred

Must be at least 18 years of age or older

Experience in sales role with progressive responsibilities; preferably in hospitality

Demonstrated track record of excellent sales production

Ability to effectively negotiate, and network

Demonstrated professional demeanor with exemplary verbal communication skills

Ability to prioritize tasks and successfully manage multi‑tasking situations

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow‑through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision

Proficient in MS Office suite

Ability to attend networking events in the nearby area to establish community partnerships and networking opportunities
