Ed Herrington Inc. is currently seeking full-time Kitchen & Bath Design/Sales Representative daytime Monday – Friday, 7a – 4p, Every other Saturday 7a-1p (Summer 7a-3p).
Territory is to be determined within the New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts area. Salary range reflects potential commissions.

SUMMARY Provides customer service through direct sale of cabinetry and accessory retail merchandise by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Greets customers on sales floor or on-site and determines make, type, and quality of merchandise desired.
Responds to phone inquiries to solve problems, take orders, and sell product.
Suggests design and product that will provide a solution to the customer needs.
Converts customers’ concepts to CAD design – personally or through design staff.
Reviews design options with customer and creates the order from the accepted design format.
Receives deposit payments and sign offs or obtains credit authorization.
Arranges for delivery of merchandise and ensures layout is with the order to customer.
Communicates with all involved parties regarding design changes, service schedules and other concerns. Coordinates services as needed.
Confer with customers and company managers to investigate and resolve complaints or discrepancies on product or services.
Maintains minimum inventory requirements and requisitions additional from stockroom.
Participates in all required training assignments.
Displays teamwork and effort in performance of all duties.
Supports the goals and objectives of Ed Herrington, Inc. through adherence to company policies, safety guidelines, and work requirements for successful completion of all assignments.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
