Duties The Director is responsible for overseeing the delivery, quality, and growth of aquatic programming across assigned YMCA branches. This leadership role partners closely with the Service Delivery Directors of Aquatics and branch leadership to ensure high‑quality programs, strong safety standards, and well‑maintained facilities that reflect the values of the YMCA of Greater Richmond.

Through providing direction to the Service Delivery Directors of Aquatics in their assigned region, the Regional Aquatic Business Director creates a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging environment that supports member satisfaction, retention, and overall program impact. In addition, this role represents the YMCA in the community by promoting aquatic programming through participation in events, speaking engagements, panels, and other outreach opportunities.

Qualifications Experience in staff supervision, scheduling, and performance evaluation is required, along with a working knowledge of budget planning, equipment management, and program assessment. Trainer‑level certifications (e.g., YMCA Swim Instructor Trainer, Lifeguard Instructor Trainer, or equivalent) are strongly preferred but not required. Candidates without trainer certifications should be willing to obtain them as part of their professional development. A commitment to the YMCA's mission and values is vital. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products is required.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: Starting at $50,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
