Overview
Huntingdon Valley Country Club is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic team member to serve as our Seasonal Assistant Golf Professional. In its 129 th year, the club is annually ranked in the top clubs in the Philadelphia market and the state of Pennsylvania and has a storied history of producing some of the best golfers across the state. The Club has embarked on an aggressive capital campaign over the last 5-years re-investing in the campus and engaging with architect Andrew Green to update his current golf course master plan. The Golf staff exhibit great chemistry through a relaxed yet-professional workplace. The successful candidate will join a tenured team of fellow assistant professionals, the Head Professional, the Caddie Master, an outside operations team and the Golf Shop Manager. We have successfully mentored and trained previous assistants into no less than (9) Head Professional positions in the last 15-years. The successful candidate will have an infectious enthusiasm for the game and be an excellent team player. This role is perfect for a PGM student who is looking for their final internship before graduation - or a PGM student who is graduating this year and looking for a great opportunity to kick-start their career. Depending on the success of this candidate it could turn into a year-round opportunity in the future.
Experience Required Minimal experience required for this role, ideally the PGA student/graduate has compiled some real life experiences from their time in the PGM program.
Essential Responsibilities Essential responsibilities will include sound knowledge of the game, previous work experiences or internships at a private facility (preferred) and the desire and motivation to succeed in this business. We are willing to train all the skills needed to succeed and are focused on hiring the right personality and cultural fit for our team chemistry to thrive.
