Designer / Consultant â Tapered Design
Location:
NW PDXâ Onsite
Salary:
$60,000â$65,000/year DOE
Schedule:
Full-Time | MondayâFriday 7am-4pm
(Equivalent hourly rate with scheduled summer overtime built in)

What You’ll Do This role blends technical design, math, project coordination, and client interaction.
You will:
Update and manage active projects
Generate commercial and residential take‑offs
Provide quotes to clients and dealers
Perform roof walks when needed
Consult directly with architects and roofing contractors
Present tapered design concepts to the architectural community
Support dealers with project updates
Handle light administrative and documentation duties
You’ll spend part of your time interacting with professionals and part of your time focused behind a desk working through detailed projects.
What We’re Looking For
Hard working and self‑driven
A natural problem solver
Detail‑oriented
Strong communicator (comfortable with people but also able to focus independently for extended periods)
Solid in math and computer skills
Not afraid of heights (roof walks are part of the job)
Preferred (But Not Required)
Familiarity with building plans or construction
Background in construction
Experience with AutoCAD, drafting, or architecture
College degree
