The Dietary Director/Manager oversees all dietary department operations to ensure nutritious, high‑quality food is provided to patients, guests, and employees in a sanitary, safe, and customer‑focused environment. This role supervises dietary staff, manages food production and inventory, supports compliance with dietary regulations, and ensures service excellence at all times.

Required:
High School Diploma or GED

Related Work Experience

3–5 years of experience in a dietary or food service leadership role
Licensure / Certifications

ServSafe Certification
Registered Dietician (State of Tennessee)
Specialized Skills and Knowledge
Knowledge of kitchen equipment and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Strong understanding of food safety, equipment temperatures, and sanitation standards
Ability to forecast, order, and manage food inventory
Effective staff scheduling capabilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Moderate proficiency using computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong interpersonal skills including professionalism, tact, and diplomacy
Demonstrated customer service skills
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Knowledge and maintenance of departmental policies and procedures
