The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Benefits Communications Specialist for a prominent client of ours. This position is based in Marlborough, MA. Details for the position are as follows:
Job Title: Benefits Communications Specialist (Part‑Time, 6‑Month Contract)
Location: Marlborough, MA
Pay Rate: $24.17 – $30.08 per hour
Schedule: 25 hours per week | Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (1 day onsite, 2 days remote)
Shift Options: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexible based on candidate preference)
Duration: 6 months
Position Overview We are seeking a detail‑oriented and organized Benefits Communications Specialist to support the development, review, and distribution of employee benefits materials. This role requires strong document editing skills, critical thinking ability, and proficiency in MS Word and Adobe Acrobat. The ideal candidate thrives in a structured environment and can manage multiple documents and deadlines effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Support communication of benefits information to all associates
Review Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs), Benefits Guides, and summaries to ensure documents reflect all updates
Create multiple versions of benefits documents using approved templates (e.g., Benefits Guide)
Test associate populations in ServiceNow to ensure accurate benefit views based on defined testing expectations
Evaluate and track inventory and status of approximately 100 Summary Plan Descriptions
Coordinate with print vendors for document production and pickup
Send finalized documents for printing and ensure version control accuracy
Edit and format documents using MS Word and Adobe Acrobat
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Word
Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat (PDF editing)
Strong organizational skills
Strong critical thinking and analytical abilities
Ability to manage multiple documents and track updates efficiently
High attention to detail
Note: Excel is not required for this role.
Preferred Qualifications
Fluent in Spanish
Knowledge or experience using ServiceNow
Ideal Candidate Profile

Comfortable managing document‑heavy workflows
Able to review complex information and ensure accuracy
