Yuba Golf Club is seeking an energetic and motivated Assistant Golf Course Superintendent who is eager to learn, take ownership, and help elevate a historic golf property undergoing an exciting transformation under new ownership. This is an outstanding opportunity for a recent turfgrass graduate or early-career turf professional who wants to be part of building something special. The ideal candidate is hardworking, detail-oriented, and hungry to make a difference while gaining hands‑on experience in all aspects of golf course agronomy, crew leadership, and course improvement. At Yuba Golf Club, the Assistant Superintendent will play a meaningful role in shaping course conditions and the future of the property while developing the skills necessary to advance into a Golf Course Superintendent position.
Qualifications
Degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field preferred
Recent graduates and early-career turf professionals are strongly encouraged to apply
Strong work ethic with a desire to grow within the golf course management profession
Basic knowledge of golf course maintenance practices, turfgrass health, and irrigation systems
Ability to lead small crews and work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent
Ability to obtain or currently hold a California Qualified Applicator License (QAL/QAC) within a reasonable time
Ability to operate golf course maintenance equipment safely
Excellent communication skills and a positive team-oriented attitude
