The International Sales & Compliance Account Manager oversees international commercial processes to ensure compliance alignment, operational accuracy, and documentation integrity. This role leads customer onboarding, conducts commercial due diligence, and safeguards contractual and regulatory compliance across global markets.
Working closely with the Vice President of International Sales, this position plays a key governance and analytical role in supporting international growth initiatives. The role ensures that international partnerships are properly vetted, strategically supported, and aligned with internal policies and risk standards.
Responsibilities:
International Commercial & Compliance Oversight
Support international sales initiatives by ensuring commercial terms, documentation, and compliance requirements are properly reviewed and maintained.
Collaborate closely with the Vice President of International Sales to support strategic international expansion efforts and partner evaluations.
Lead the preparation of periodic customer business reviews by generating comprehensive performance reports, trend analysis, and actionable insights.
Conduct performance analysis designed to identify opportunities for customers to improve sales results, operational effectiveness, and overall partnership performance.
Develop data-driven recommendations to present to customers during business reviews to support mutual growth.
Oversee communication of pricing updates, order form changes, product launches, and item discontinuations to international partners.
Adapt and tailor sales presentations and commercial materials to international market requirements.
New Customer Onboarding & Activation
Lead and coordinate the full international customer onboarding process from initial approval through account activation.
Ensure timely collection, review, and routing of all required commercial, compliance, and operational documentation.
Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Operations to facilitate seamless transition from prospect to active customer.
Conduct structured due diligence on prospects and existing customers, evaluating online integrity, corporate status, ownership structure, and commercial viability.
Perform preliminary compliance reviews prior to submission to Legal for verification of NDAs, FCPA documentation, IDAs, LOAs, renewals, and related agreements.
Maintain ongoing compliance monitoring of active international partners to mitigate commercial and regulatory risk.
Escalate potential risks or discrepancies appropriately and proactively.
Commercial Documentation & Performance Tracking
Document, track, and maintain commercial agreements including marketing contributions, promotions, discounts, and special terms.
Maintain and continuously enhance Customer Performance and Status reports to provide visibility into compliance standing and overall partnership performance.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and audit-readiness of records and agreement documentation.
Strategic & Ad-Hoc Initiatives
Support the Vice President of International Sales and cross-functional teams on special projects, international expansion initiatives, process improvements, and other ad-hoc assignments as needed.
Contribute to the development and refinement of international sales processes, reporting tools, documentation standards, and compliance workflows.
Qualifications:
Strong understanding of international sales operations and compliance frameworks
Advanced analytical skills with ability to translate data into customer-focused performance recommendations
Ability to assess commercial risk and business credibility
High level of organizational discipline and documentation rigor
Strong cross-functional coordination and executive-level communication skills
Process-oriented with a governance and performance-optimization mindset
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
