The Manufacturing Technical Trainer is responsible for developing, organizing, and delivering structured technical training programs for production line operators and technicians. This role plays a critical part in ensuring workforce readiness, technical competency, compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and operational excellence within AOI’s manufacturing environment. The Trainer will create engaging training materials, maintain strict training schedules, and establish formal certification and onboarding programs that enhance both employee capability and overall production performance.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement robust technical training programs for manufacturing operators and technicians.
Create structured and interactive experiences for candidates' onboarding and certification programs aligned with production requirements.
Develop training materials including presentations, manuals, SOP documentation, job aids, and digital learning tools.
Train employees on technical processes, manufacturing equipment, safety protocols, quality standards, and best practices.
Maintain strict training schedules to support production demands and workforce planning.
Evaluate trainee performance and provide structured feedback and skill assessments.
Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Operations leadership to ensure training content reflects current process improvements.
Maintain training records, certifications, and compliance documentation.
Continuously improve training effectiveness through data tracking, feedback analysis, and performance metrics.
Support audits and ensure alignment with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Associate’s in Engineering, Manufacturing, Management Information System, Technical Education, or related field.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Management Information System, Technical Education, or related field highly preferred; equivalent experience considered.
3+ years of experience in manufacturing, technical training, or production environment.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and production workflows.
Experience developing SOPs, work instructions, and structured training documentation.
Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple training schedules and priorities.
Technical aptitude and manufacturing process knowledge.
Instructional design and curriculum development.
Organizational and scheduling discipline.
Strong presentation and communication skills.
Process documentation and SOP development.
Relentless pursue for quality mindset.
Ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Operations team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Power Point, and Excel.
Experience with Learning Management Systems is a plus.
Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, or Vietnamese is a plus.
Digital video editing skills in Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve is a plus.
