Pipe Designer

Position Overview A Piping Designer is responsible for the development of a project using Revit/AutoCAD and coordinating with other disciplines. The Piping Designer is an important part of the prefabrication process as they are also expected to use M-Suite to create spool sheets for our in-house fabrication shop. General Responsibilities * Translating 2D drawings to a 3D model * Modeling using Revit and AutoCAD (primarily Revit) * Clash detection using FlyPaper and NavisWorks * BIM coordination with other trades * Develop spool drawings using M-Suite * Coordinate and participate in meetings * Bring attention to problem areas on the job Qualifications * Education: Higher education degree, high school diploma or GED * Must have proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, CAD, and others * Basic understanding of piping systems * Must have a valid driver's license with reliable transportation * Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills * Strong desire for continued growth and learning in a team environment * Problem solving and attention to detail
