In accordance with the provisions of Article 16, paragraph 106 of Law no. 153/2017, Babeș-Bolyai University is organizing a competition for the position outside the organizational chart of Project Director , within the project PNNR – A better understanding of socio-economic systems using quantitative methods from Physics , Contract No. dated , Code 255/ , for a fixed-term period (according to the funding application and the activity schedule), with part-time employment.

Skills/Qualifications

• Holds a PhD degree obtained at least 20 years prior to the date of the selection procedure;
• Has served as principal investigator or project coordinator for at least one (1) research and development project during the past seven (7) years prior to the selection procedure;
• Is a researcher affiliated with an institution located outside Romania, having conducted research activities abroad for at least the past three (3) years preceding the date of the selection procedure;
• Has published, within the last seven (7) years prior to the date of the selection procedure, as first or corresponding author, at least 8 papers (document type: article, review, or proceedings paper) in journals indexed in the Science Citation Index Expanded, ranked within the top 50% (Q1 or Q2 quartile). Of these 8 papers, at least 4 must be ranked within the top 25% (Q1 based on Journal Impact Factor (OIF) or Article Influence Score (AIS)) within a Web of Science Category defined by Clarivate Analytics;
• Has published at least 500 scientific papers throughout his career;
• Has at least 65 Hirsch index according to the Web of Science;
• Has received at least 40,000 citations according to Web of Science;
• Demonstrates strong competencies and solid results in the field of quantitative methods;
• Research interests in the field of econophysics;
• Integration into research networks in the field of econophysics will be considered an advantage;
• Previous collaborations with members of the project implementation team and/or with Prof. Marcel Ausloos will be considered an advantage.
