Position Overview
The Senior Associate – Commercial Real Estate will play a key role in representing clients in acquisitions, dispositions, financings, joint ventures, leasing, and development projects. This position requires extensive experience in handling sophisticated real‑estate transactions and the ability to work independently while mentoring junior attorneys.
Key Responsibilities
Advise clients on acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and leasing of commercial real estate assets, including office, retail, industrial, and multifamily properties.
Draft, review, and negotiate purchase agreements, loan documents, joint venture agreements, and commercial leases.
Conduct and oversee due diligence, including title and survey review, zoning analysis, and contract assessment.
Collaborate with lenders, investors, developers, and institutional clients to structure complex real‑estate transactions.
Assist with real estate aspects of corporate mergers and acquisitions.
Manage client relationships, providing strategic counsel on real‑estate investments and risk mitigation.
Supervise and mentor junior associates and legal staff.
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school and active Massachusetts bar membership in good standing.
5+ years of commercial real estate law experience at a reputable law firm or in‑house legal department.
Strong experience with purchase and sale agreements, leasing, financing, and joint venture structuring.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple transactions and work effectively under deadlines.
Strong business acumen and client management skills.
