
Asset Protection Analyst

Overview
The Asset Protection Analyst reports directly to the Manager of Asset Protection Analytics and supports a diverse team of Asset Protection and Retail professionals. This role plays a critical part in helping the company achieve best‑in‑class performance across Sales, Gross Margin, and Operating Income. The Analyst contributes to department goals related to Inventory Excellence, Inventory Shrink & Accuracy, and Defects & Returns.
The Asset Protection Analyst will participate in solution‑oriented projects, turning insights into actionable strategies and tactics. Success in this role requires strong data analysis, trend identification, and the creation of meaningful exception reporting, presentations, and KPI monitoring. The Analyst will also be encouraged to develop skills that support long‑term growth within the Asset Protection organization.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Partner with Field Teams to develop and implement solutions related to Inventory Excellence, Inventory Shrink & Accuracy, Defects & Returns, and other margin‑impacting issues.
Research, analyze, and report on company strategies and initiatives tied to inventory performance and operational efficiency.
Conduct trend analysis and present actionable insights that help Field Teams identify store‑level training needs, operational inefficiencies, or potential misappropriation of company assets.
Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with Area Field Teams to support shrink reduction and inventory accuracy goals.
Assist in Regional, District, and Store‑level training and awareness programs, including assessments, presentations, and meetings that enhance internal and external customer experiences.
Prepare and distribute financial and performance results to Field Teams according to the fiscal reporting calendar.
Manage, track, and report on project milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Competency in calculating statistical metrics, regression analysis, percentages, proportions, and other relevant numerical measurements.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to handle and protect confidential information.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional people and customer service skills with the ability to build collaborative working relationships.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree or five years of relevant work experience.

Physical Demands: Primarily a sedentary role requiring extended periods of computer work. Occasional minimal lifting may be required but is not a condition of employment.
