Financial Aid Advisor – Overview
The Financial Aid Advisor position is a pivotal role within the educational framework, designed to ensure seamless financial aid planning and execution for CHCP students. Responsibilities
Play a critical role in developing, negotiating, and finalizing student financial aid plans to optimize funding opportunities
Provide expert counseling to students regarding available financial aid options based on their acceptance at CHCP
Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and institutional protocols in all financial aid activities
Collaborate with academic and administrative teams to align financial aid strategies with broader institutional goals
Contribute to the financial accessibility of education, enabling students to achieve their academic aspirations
Develop, negotiate, and finalize student financial aid plans in strict accordance with state, federal, accreditation, and company policies and regulations
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies governing financial aid packaging and awarding
Maintain accurate and detailed records of financial aid plans and student interactions
Collaborate with institutional departments to ensure alignment of financial aid strategies with organizational objectives
Provide technical assistance and guidance to students regarding financial aid application processes
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required; advanced education preferred
Basic knowledge of federal and state regulations impacting Title IV funding
Proficiency in CampusVue database preferred
Previous experience with student financial aid programs and technical knowledge of financial aid processes preferred
Minimum of two years’ experience working in a post‑secondary educational institution
Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a focus on compliance and accuracy
