We are seeking an experienced Lead Superintendent (Senior Construction Manager) to oversee a 90+ unit ground‑up multifamily project in Rahway, NJ, now entering the concrete phase. This role requires a hands‑on leader with extensive wood‑frame, out‑of‑the‑ground experience who can drive schedule, quality, and field performance on a fast‑moving project.

Client Details We are a rapidly growing, forward‑thinking general contractor based in Wayne, NJ, known for their polished, client‑facing approach and strong leadership presence. Description

Site Management:

Lead all on‑site construction activities for a 90+ unit, ground‑up multifamily project from structural phase through completion.

Schedule Management:

Accelerate schedule where possible while maintaining quality, safety, and inspection readiness.

Team Leadership:

Drive subcontractor performance, sequencing, logistics, and accountability.

Quality Control:

Resolve field challenges proactively in a fast‑moving environment with incomplete information.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate field reporting and documentation using Buildertrend.

Safety Compliance:

Ensure compliance with project plans, specs, safety protocols, and local inspection requirements.

Profile

15+ years of experience leading ground‑up multifamily construction, with strong wood‑frame experience from foundation to turnover.

Proven ability to manage complex job sites under pressure while maintaining professionalism, organization, and composure.

Skilled in subcontractor oversight, sequencing, logistics, and quality control.

Comfortable using Buildertrend or similar construction management software.

Strong communicator who collaborates seamlessly with PMs, executive leadership, inspectors, and field teams.

Thrives in a lean, fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment with direct owner interaction.

Certifications are a plus; no formal degree required.

Job Offer

up to 185K (commensurate with experience)
