Portfolio Associate - Private Credit

A rapidly growing private credit firm in the DMV area is looking for a Portfolio Associate to join their Real Estate and Asset-Based Lending team focusing on healthcare. This is an exciting opportunity for a junior professional looking to build a long-term career within private credit, gaining hands‑on exposure to portfolio management, borrower reporting, and structured lending across healthcare‑related assets.
Responsibilities
Assist in managing a portfolio of healthcare‑focused real estate term loans and asset‑based revolving credit facilities.
Review borrower financial statements, borrowing base certificates, and collateral reports to ensure compliance with covenants and credit requirements.
Process funding requests, verify borrowing base calculations, and assist with cash posting and loan administration activities.
Assist with ongoing credit analysis, internal reporting, and support underwriting for amendments, renewals, and new transactions as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
1‑3 years of experience in direct lending, commercial banking, or private credit.
Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
