Position Overview As our Senior Property Accountant, you will be preparing and analyzing financial results of operational properties, including the preparation of the following: GAAP financial statements, financial forecasts, reporting packages to investors, general ledger review, variance analysis, and audited financial statements. This position will also assist the manager with the coaching and development of staff.
What You Will Do
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities, including organization, reconciliation, and review of financial reports.
Work closely with the operations team to ensure they are receiving the information required to effectively operate the properties and that the reporting calendar is being met.
Research monthly variances from budget and assist operations and accounting staff with variance explanations.
Assist site team and asset managers with annual budget preparation.
Lead the distribution of financial reporting packages to lenders and partners.
Review and ensure compliance with accounting policies & procedures and resolve accounting related issues.
Perform monthly account analysis of selected general ledger accounts to ensure accounts properly reflect the Company’s financial position in accordance with company policy and GAAP.
Review ledger detail, prepare/review adjusting journal entries, and supporting schedules for GAAP‑based financial statements.
Prepare property financial statements and supporting schedules monthly.
Coordinate all audit/investor inquiries pertaining to the operating financials.
Prepare property acquisition and disposition journal entries.
Lead the onboarding and set up of property acquisitions.
Prepare lender reporting packages, debt covenant calculations and work directly with the accounting manager to ensure compliance with loan requirements.
Review bank reconciliations and journal entries as needed.
Provide guidance on Core’s accounting policies by leading training sessions on policies & procedures across all departments.
Calculate ownership distributions utilizing cash flow analysis.
Manage fixed assets in Sage and perform quarterly roll‑forward reconciliations.
Assist the Property Accounting Manager with ad hoc projects as needed.
Occasional travel may be necessary as needed
Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned by management

Ideally, You'll Have
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
4+ years of relevant experience
Detail oriented and ability to problem solve, research, and multi‑task
Strong knowledge of GAAP compliancy
Experience working in Accounting Software Programs
Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, Word
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to multi‑task and manage shifting priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

Pay Range USD $85,000.00 - USD $95,000.00 /Yr.

Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, certifications, seniority, geographic location, and business needs.
