Position Summary The
Catering Sales Coordinator
provides assistance and administrative support to the Catering Sales Manager and General Manager for Food and Beverage functions at the Atlantic City Convention Center and Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall. This hourly role pays $19.00 per hour. The position will remain open until June 5, 2026.

About The Venue The Atlantic City Convention Center & Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall is a multi‑purpose facility located on the iconic Atlantic City Boardwalk. It features a 141,000‑square‑foot main arena with a capacity of 14,770 seats, and a 23,100‑square‑foot Adrian Phillips Theater that seats 3,200. Constructed in 1929 as the country’s original convention center, Boardwalk Hall has dazzled guests for decades.
Responsibilities
Assist the Catering Team in preparation of catering agreements and banquet event orders; review documents for completeness and accuracy; follow up with clients regarding deposits, insurance and other license agreement requirements.
Assist in creating, entering, maintaining, distributing, and reconciling all event details in catering/event software.
Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively with the Catering Sales Manager and General Manager to provide quality seamless customer service.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
Minimum of 1–2 years of increasingly responsible administrative support or coordinator experience, preferably in a sales capacity at a hotel, convention center or related meeting venue.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in hospitality management or a related field.
Additional years of experience may substitute for formal education.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; able to type at a speed necessary for the job.
Ability to prioritize work and effectively resolve workload issues.
Willingness to learn and understand the operation of a convention center and apply that knowledge to continual improvement.
Basic arithmetic competence (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) either manually or with a calculator.
