Summary As a Corporate Paralegal at Universal, you will help implement and maintain the legal team’s contract workflow system, track contract progress, and ensure timely approvals while serving as a key contact for internal stakeholders throughout the contract process. You will prepare and review standard agreements such as NDAs, support attorneys with drafting and revising commercial contracts, and assist with maintaining corporate records, including board and committee minutes. The role also involves coordinating annual filings and compliance requirements, organizing legal files and databases, conducting legal research, and compiling information for attorney review.
What You’ll Be Doing (Essential Duties)
Assist in implementing and maintaining the legal team’s contract workflow system.
Monitor contract status, ensure timely approvals, and maintain accurate records.
Serve as a point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding contract processes.
Prepare and review standard agreements, including Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
Support attorneys in drafting and revising commercial contracts as needed.
Assist with preparation and maintenance of corporate records, including board and committee minutes.
Coordinate annual filings and compliance requirements for corporate entities.
Organize and maintain legal files and databases.
Conduct legal research and compile information for attorney review.
Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by the legal team.
Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate required.
3+ years of experience as a corporate paralegal.
Familiarity with contract management systems and corporate governance practices.
Proficiency with contract management tools and systems; ability to support implementation and maintenance.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
