What You Will Do
As a Union Journeyman Fitter/Welder, you are responsible for the layout, assembly, installation, and repair of HVAC and hydronic systems. You will install these systems according to specifications and appropriate trade and building codes. The systems may consist of pipes, fittings, piping systems, fixtures and equipment for heating, cooling, gas, steam, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial processing systems. You must be able to cut, lay out, weld and assemble pipe and structural assemblies, install quality work, and have working knowledge of piping systems. You will maintain the work area in a clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations, maintain required tools, and properly use all personal protection equipment (PPE) and safety equipment. You will perform a variety of manual tasks in varying temperatures for extended periods of time, which may include lifting light to heavy materials, climbing, standing, squatting, bending, and working at heights when applicable.

Must be able to work with: Carbon steel, Stainless steel, Copper, PVC, Polypropylene
Required What we look for:
High School Diploma or GED
At least two years previous related experience as a Pipefitter.
Must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Good written/verbal communication skills are necessary.
Available for local travel.
Trained and qualified to operate machinery such as scissor lifts, aerial lifts, fork lifts, etc.
Member of Local 142 Union
Preferred
Three years of industry experience with piping layout, hydronic calculations and installation of hydronic systems.
Welding certifications: WPS 1-12-2 SMAW using E6010 followed by E7018 with PWHT.
